In order to improve the performance of national logistics, improve the investment climate, and improve the competitiveness of the national economy, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has signed Presidential Instruction (Inpres) No. 5 of 2020 concerning the Arrangement of the National Logistics Ecosystem on June 16, 2020.
President instructed the Minister of Finance to be responsible for implementing the structuring of the national logistics ecosystem, through:
1. Simplification of government service business processes in logistics based on information technology to eliminate repetition and duplication;
2. Collaboration on logistics services systems both internationally and domestically between actors in logistics activities in the public and private sectors; and
3. Ease of payment transactions for state revenues and facilitation of payments between business operators in the logistics process.
